Karali Organic Black Tea is a premium Turkish organic loose tea produced in the unique natural region of Güneysu, Turkey.

The carefully selected tea sprouts and high-quality tea leaves are professionally processed under hygienic conditions without direct hand contact.

Every stage from production to packaging is certified organic and completely free from chemical additives. Karali is one of Turkey’s first certified organic black teas and a perfect choice for health-conscious tea lovers.

Black Tea Production Process

Black tea is produced from fresh leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant. Young shoots with two to three fresh leaves and tender stems are carefully selected.

During the withering process, the water content of the fresh tea leaves is reduced from approximately 70–80% to 50–55%.

The leaves are then rolled, crushed and twisted in special tea processing machines. This spreads the cell juice across the leaf surface and starts the oxidation process.

During fermentation, the tea develops its characteristic dark color, brightness, aroma and strong flavor.

In the drying stage, the moisture level is reduced to 3–4%, stopping oxidation and making the tea suitable for storage and packaging.

Finally, the tea is sorted by quality, thickness and leaf size using special grading sieves.
